Cafe Bassanese in Erlangen

Great espresso with a nice crema and delicious spaghetti ice cream. My regular visits during a longer stay in Erlangen in summer 2018 with fine espresso and delicious spaghetti ice cream remain in my fond memories and inspired me to write the song "Espresso Doppio", which you can listen to on my YouTube channel.

The seller spoke German so badly that he couldn't understand what we wanted (just an additional empty waffle without ice cream). We then gave up. No drama, but I still expect such a simple order to be able to be taken

Breakfast was delicious. Only the coordination wasn't that good.

The Bassanese has probably passed its zenith. An absolute no go is that a voucher that was not even 1 year old was only accepted after a discussion.

Unfortunately from time to time more and more sugar in the ice cream. That was different. Pity!

The best café in Erlangen! Always come when I'm in town. The staff original Italian, the ice cream the best far and wide. The creations (also called sundaes or crepes) are amazing, and the service is friendly and humorous. PS recommend the Amarena mug and the Donatella crepe

Corona rules obviously don't seem to apply here. No contact details were recorded for me or those of my neighbors, let alone disinfecting the table and the menu. It's shocking how carelessly the health of guests is treated here. I reserve the right to inform the public order office of the city of Erlangen ....

The ice cream, the tea, the coffee were all delicious. The service seems disorganized or overorganized. One is only allowed to take orders, the other is only allowed to take out ...

I know my opinion does not taste everyone. The male waitress can hardly understand the German language. € 1.60 for an ice cream ball. That borders on usury. Nobody sees us there. I don't normally rate anymore. I am very upset. 😕

The ice cream was delicious, but the waitresses were a bit slow. It took a long time until we realized that we still want to order something.

Price-performance ratio bad, the ice cream is nothing special, tastes no different from other ice cream shops. The price is very expensive for a normal sundae that costs 8.10 €. Staff is nice and friendly, you are served quickly.

The worst food I've ever eaten in my life. But apart from that, the workers have looked after customers terribly. We have to clean our ice first. There was something black on it. DREADFUL

Good service. You can sit out on the street in nice weather. Good selection of ice creams including vegan options.

My wife loves this as a breakfast meeting place. The major downside is delivery traffic, which is running directly in front through the Hauptstrasse, especially during the AM hours. If you like Diesel smell you might love it though, and of course Bassanese cannot be blamed for that.

Cheese cake with clementine very good but black forest and chocolate cake any more. The cake portions are too small for the price just like the cafe. The service is moderately friendly depending on the server ... A mixed feeling so!

Could be the best ice-cream in Erlangen. Really good service and friendly staff.
